iBri Daily-ish

So, the daily post thing's now pie in the sky. Posts will arrive here as and when. Daily-ish. Weekly-ish. Random-ish.

Taken a week, but Skye came up with the goods at sunset tonight.

Day Nine. 11.1 miles

Turned out nice this afternoon. Even better this evening.

Last full day on Skye, heading back south tomorrow. Treated ourselves to a slap up fish supper before deciding to walk some of it off by walking down to the loch side. Glad we did, as the ridge of Bla Bheinn and Garbh Beinn lit up very nicely as the sun set. Glad I always carry a tripod and an ND filter for these very moments.

A bit of a contrast from the freshly dusted version below that popped out of the clouds as I cycled down the single track to Broadford earlier.

If I take anything away from this trip to Skye it probably is the contrasts. In the landscape and in the weather, it swings from one extreme to the other like nowhere I've been before. Won't take away any whisky mind you; the last of that's slipping down nicely just now.

Can't wait for the next visit.

The Blaven (Bla Bheinn) ridge with some fresh snowfall this morning - a welcome contrast from it being shrouded in cloud.
