iBri Daily-ish

So, the daily post thing's now pie in the sky. Posts will arrive here as and when. Daily-ish. Weekly-ish. Random-ish.

Power in the cables that carry electricity over the Forth here, power on the horizon under the glow from Grangemouth.

Didn't manage out in daylight today. Grabbed a tripod and a torch and snuck off down to one of my usual haunts down by the remnants of the harbour in Alloa.

There's no light down this way, bar some distant street lights and a bit of diffused light from the nearby glass factory, so it's pretty much pitch black. Don't venture too near the harbour wall, and the old, rusty, hidden trip hazards, and it's all OK. Makes it tricky to gauge a proper white balance when it's so dark, so I've had a play with this a bit - enhancing the glow from the Grangemouth in one, then dialing in some coolness when I turned the camera 90˚ southwards.

Powerlines heading south over on the other bank of the Forth, and the MDF manufacturing plant blowing off steam at Cowie.
