iBri Daily-ish

So, the daily post thing's now pie in the sky. Posts will arrive here as and when. Daily-ish. Weekly-ish. Random-ish.

Still

Not easy sitting still for two minutes when a midge's landed on your forehead and is drilling into your skin.

But not still. Staring out down the Forth for no reason whatsoever.

I enjoy the different photographic experience you get using a big 'f*ck-off-daylight' filter on the camera. The switching to manual, the working out of the exposure because the camera's software  gets confused, the test shots, the tweaking, the re-tweaking when the sun goes away again, then comes back again, then when someone walking their dog walks into the frame when you're sitting like some Buchanan Street statue impersonator and strikes up a conversation and you give up on the shot anyhow. Forty five minutes for a half dozen shots, the complete opposite of the scatter gun approach that digital normally allows.

Then you notice those gaps in the clouds disappear and feel the first spots of rain...
