iBri Daily-ish

So, the daily post thing's now pie in the sky. Posts will arrive here as and when. Daily-ish. Weekly-ish. Random-ish.

February fired up. The remaining pier supports of the old Alloa Swing Bridge that used to carry trains over the River Forth from Alloa towards Throsk.

Here's was me hoping to get through the winter bug-free too. Bugs had other ideas though. And, not feeling the urge to grab a camera and take an instagram style snapshot of various overpriced sugary medicinal products, thought I'd rake through the archives instead and find something a bit more cheery.

This was taken late one February afternoon last year. I'd planned a trek down to the old Alloa Swing Bridge as it's a bit easier to access at this time of year. The tide was on the turn and the water was still and reflecting the remaining bridge supports perfectly. I already had some nice shots on the card when the sky started to glow a gentle orange, then, over the course of the next twenty minutes, explode into a riot of red, pink and purple. Even the Ochil Hills over on the other side of the River Forth took on an unearthly hue. Fantastic it was. Happy I was.

One from the iBri archives today. And probably tomorrow too...
