Bussed and trained it through to Edinburgh for a pre-festival-madness wander around Auld Reekie. Always busy at this time of year with folk and cameras, but it'll reach ridiculous levels by the end of the week no doubt. Seems like some of the performers are getting wise to that, asking for a pound a pop if you want to take their photo. In a public place too. Chancing their arm a bit there for most snappers, but guess I'd be happy to cough up if there's a good photo opportunity.
Took this shot pointing up the Royal Mile, beyond St. Giles cathedral and towards the Castle. The sin was lined up nicely over the crowd watching some high quality busking. Didn't see what he was doing, but I'm assuming it was high quality as he was asking for at least ten pounds at the end of the show if you'd enjoyed it.
It's great having all this free festival entertainment on your doorstep.
